About Reservation and Activities

Reservations are not strictly required, but it may be too crowded to board the ship on the day especially during the busy season. Early reservations are recommended.

We recommend that you bring some outerwear even in mid-summer and to bring something waterproof.

From Utoro: Rusha Course (To Rusha, the Holy Land of the Brown Bear)

The World Heritage Site Shiretoko viewed from the sea. Many brown bears are spotted in early spring (May and June) and autumn (September).

The seabed of Rausu provides an ideal feeding ground for sea life. You can see many killer whales around May and sperm whales around July. The number of whales sightings here is one of the greatest in Japan.
