Lake Shikotsu has major axis 13km, minor axis 5km, the surrounding 40km. It's a clearest freshwater lake in Japan. It has maximum depth of about 360m. It's Japan's northernmost non-freezing lake. A beautiful view in Eniwa-dake is the feature. Pleasure boat, boat, and canoeing can be enjoyed.
About 40 minutes by car from the airport.
