About Reservation and Activities



The tour will be a joint activity including other participants. Please refrain from joining the tour under the influence of alcohol. Furthermore, pregnant women and infants/toddlers are asked to refrain from joining.


The tour may be canceled partway due to bad weather conditions or the appearance of brown bears. Please note that refunds cannot be made once the tour has started.

Since you travelled all this way, why not do more than just walk the "Koka Kido (walkway)." Take a leisurely walk around the beautiful lake surrounded by pristine forest, looking for the animals and birds that inhabit in the forest.

Shiretoko Night Tour

Shiretoko Night Tour Much of the wildlife in Shiretoko is nocturnal. There are many signs of animals in the unlit national park at night. We will move around by car and search for animals using a light! If the weather is nice, you will also see a full, starry night sky.

Clothing The temperature can be low at night even in the summer. Be sure to bring a jacket as there will be occasions to exit the car such as when we look at the stars.
* Many brown bears make Shiretoko their home. We will not be walking through the forest because they are active even at night.
