About Activities

As with any activity in nature, sudden changes in the planned course or cancelation may be required due to changes in natural conditions.

Lake Akan Canadian Canoe
Adventure course

Onneto is located approx. 20 km away from the Lake Akan onsen hot spring. The area also offers a high chance to meet the Kumagera (woodpecker) - an animal designated as a natural monument.

Period of Operation	May 1 - October 31
Required Time	3 hours and 30 mins (including car travel time)
Walking distance	Approx. 5 km (one lap around Onneto)
Fees	Adults 6,500 yen * Children 4,500 yen
Capacity	2-7 people * Although bookings can be made for 1 person, there will be an extra charge of 3500 yen if only one person is attending.
Starting times	(1)8:30 a.m. (2)0:30 p.m.
Meeting time	10 mins before departure
Meeting Place	Akan Nature Center
Reservations	Required
Clothing	Clothes that are easy to walk in (long pants recommended) and trekking shoes or running shoes
Personal Gear	A drink to stay hydrated during the activity (about one bottle), hat, insect repellent, and other things you might personally need

I will row the Kushiro river

Row down the Kushiro River on a two person Canadian canoe in this course. We will practice sitting in a canoe and rowing at Lake Toro before setting off.

Period of Operation	May 1 - October 31 (excluding August)
Required Time	Approx. 3 - 3.5 hours (including practice time at the lake)
Fees	13,000 yen per person * (In the case of 2 participants)
Minimum number of participants	1 group (2 to 6 people) private charter

Meeting Place	JR Hosooka station or Lake Toro Campground
Reservations	Required
Clothing	Clothes that are easy to move in, hat, sunglasses, and warm clothes depending on the season
Personal Gear	Change of clothes (in case of fall-in), insect repellent, and other things you might personally need
* The price includes rental of the canoe, life vest, paddles, river shoes or boots, dry bag, and poncho
