North Okhotsk Prefectural Natural Park

This national park is located along to the Okhotsk, the northern part of Hokkaido. 10 to 20 thousand Tundra swans visit to rest in lake Kutcharo twice a year in spring and autumn. Approximately 290 kinds of wild birds are observed. Not only birds, but brown bears, Yezo Sika deer, Sakhalin fox, Yezo raccoon dog, Lepus timidus ainu, and Siberian flying squirrel inhabit the park. Beniya Natural Flower Garden has a promenade in which you can enjoy aquatic plants and seaside plants.
