Guided tour of Lake Kussharo and sea of clouds in Tsubetsu Pass

A large sea of clouds which spreads over Lake Kussharo that you can view from the Tsubetsu Pass observation deck. You can enjoy 360-degree view including the Sea of Okhotsk, Shiretoko Mountains, the Daisetsuzan Mountains, Mount Oakan and Mount Meakan.

Reservations All tours are by reservation only. Please apply at the front desk by 7:00 pm the day before.
Clothing As you may get cold, please wear warm clothes.
* Applications for a tour are closed as soon as it reaches the capacity for the number of people.
* The sea of clouds may not appear due to climatic conditions. In addition, it may be called off due to bad weather.

Looking up from the Tsubetsu Pass observation deck you can see the northern sky. Because it is influenced by natural conditions like the weather, month and other things, it can offer impressive views of space when you’re lucky.
